At Vita et Pax, we strongly believe that our students should be given ample opportunities to develop their leadership skills and be given responsibilities across the school. As such, our Year 6 pupils are given leadership roles – these include head boy/girl, deputy head boy/girl, student council leaders, house captains, sports captains and prefects. This provides the perfect platform for the children to take ownership of an area across the school and develop their teamworking skills before graduating onto secondary school.
The student council enables our enthusiastic students to create positive change at the school. Two members of each class are democratically elected to represent their class and bring their opinions to student council meetings. This ensures that across the school, the pupils’ voices are heard and taken on board when implementing changes. Our student council takes pride in engaging in charitable causes and helps to organise fundraising events across the academic year.
This is a key part of our ethos at Vita et Pax as we nurture the next generation of leaders.
