We were delighted to welcome Fr Pascal from Christ the King Church, Cockfosters, to our school this week. His visit was an inspiring opportunity for us to explore how the school and church can work together to better support each other and the wider community.
During the meeting, we discussed a variety of initiatives aimed at strengthening our partnership. One key topic was how both the school and the church could act in unison to make a positive impact on local groups and families. Fr Pascal shared his thoughts on how the church can offer spiritual guidance and a welcoming space for families, while we explored ways the school could support these efforts through active engagement with the parish.
As part of this collaboration, we are thrilled to announce that a Welcome Mass is planned for next week, marking the start of the academic year. This will be a special occasion where students, teachers, and parishioners can come together in prayer and community, setting a positive tone for the months ahead.
Our Year 6 students also had a chance to contribute, sharing some wonderful ideas on how we can actively support the church. They suggested that we visit different groups within the parish, including the nursery playgroup and the B2 Club, which caters to older parishioners. These intergenerational connections can bring joy to both the young and elderly, fostering a sense of togetherness across the community.
We look forward to continuing this meaningful partnership with Fr Pascal and Christ the King Church, as we work hand-in-hand to serve and uplift our local community. Together, we can achieve great things!
