Vita et Pax Prep School Competes in Enfield Netball League Tournament
On Thursday, April 24th, Vita et Pax Prep School from Southgate, North London, participated in the Enfield Netball League Tournament at Broomfield Park. The tournament saw 18 schools from the region come together to compete in a series of intense matches under the bright spring sunshine.
The teams were divided into three groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals. The competition was fierce, with every match being a hard-fought battle, and the athletes displayed exceptional skill and sportsmanship throughout the day.
Vita et Pax Prep School played admirably, winning two matches and drawing three others. Although their performance was strong, they ultimately placed second in their group. Unfortunately, due to the points allocation system across the three groups, they did not qualify for the semi-finals.
Despite this setback, the players held their heads high, knowing they had given their all on the court. The sunny weather added to the positive atmosphere, with many parents coming out to cheer on the team, creating a lively and supportive environment for the athletes. The presence of the parents made the event even more special, as their encouragement and enthusiasm boosted the players’ morale.
Although Vita et Pax Prep School didn’t make it to the semi-finals this year, the team’s efforts were celebrated, and the event highlighted the importance of teamwork and resilience. The experience served as an excellent opportunity for the students to develop their netball skills and learn valuable lessons about competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
The school is already looking forward to future tournaments and is eager to continue developing their netball program. The event was a wonderful display of community spirit and sports excellence, and Vita et Pax Prep School can be proud of their achievements on the day.
