The children in Class 3 have been using maps and atlases to explore our world.
During their Humanities lessons, the children have been having in-depth discussions about the continents, oceans and features of our world to support them in their role of travel entrepreneurs. The children were set the challenge of designing a new leisure facility situated in the UK. The children had to use their knowledge of human and physical geography to aid them in selecting a destination to set up their new facility. The facility needed to have exciting events, be accessible and have a minimal negative impact on the local environment. The children looked carefully at the climate and the surrounding area of their facility to plan stimulating activities for their future visitors to enjoy.
