Christmas 2019
Christmas has been celebrated at a north London school with a packed schedule of events.
Pupils, parents and teachers at Vita et Pax Preparatory School, in Southgate, have marked the festive season with theatre visits, a Christmas fayre, nativity, music concert, special lunch and seasonal shows.
Year 2 to 6 pupils started the festivities with trips to Chickenshed Theatre where they watched the Snow White and Christmas Tales shows.
The school’s Christmas fayre included stalls with hot chocolate, hair braiding, games, Father Christmas, food, second-hand toys, festive jumpers and music.
Headteacher Allana Gay said: “It is wonderful to have that celebratory mood at the end of the year.
“Our Christmas fayre was lovely; it was full of energy. Everybody got involved; our parents and staff ran everything. It was such good fun.
“What was the most wonderful was that parents whose children have not yet joined our school came along to see what the school is like and really enjoyed being here with us. The event was for our whole school community and those wanting to join us. If you want to get to know our school, it’s great to come along at a time like this when everyone is available and can talk freely in a sociable environment.”
The last day of the school term will be spent playing traditional board games and singing karaoke.
