Spiritual Life

Vita et Pax is a Catholic School which admits pupils of all faiths.

Prayer and worship has a central role in the life of the school.  Our pupils, who are from a variety of different Christian and other faith traditions, are all valued and respected. The programme for Religious Education is ‘Come & See’, which helps all the children understand Christian tradition and those of other major faiths, through a creatively linked curriculum.

A weekly assembly centred on the Sunday liturgy is presented by the Headmistress, with accompanying hymns.

The School organises numerous charity fundraising events, both for local and international charities. The children also entertain the elderly at their meetings and sing carols to raise money for a local hospice.

Pastoral ethos

The school strives to provide a warm and homely community, in which everyone is valued as an individual.

Pupils are encouraged to get into the habit of learning and to respect each other's feelings and property.

It is our aim that all children should be hard working, well mannered, articulate, confident and ready to meet the challenge of being good citizens in the future.
